We at Tramac Corporation and at all the Tramac companies are extremely sad to announce that Nelson Ealey, Vice-President and General Manager of Tramac Corporation, passed away suddenly at his home on March 16, 2009, at the age of 58.
His time with us was marked by rapid and well-deserved career advancement. After a career in the insurance business, Nelson joined Tramac as a consultant in 1989, helping to set up a new information system. He then became Tramac Corporation's controller and VP of Finance and Administration. After moving to Arkansas, he chose to get involved with the sales end of the business—first, with rental companies, and later as Midwest sales manager, where he was very successful. Since his roots were in Illinois, it must have seemed like coming home.
Nelson was promoted to national Sales Manager and shortly thereafter to Vice-President, Sales. One of his greatest assets was his determination to deliver on whatever he promised. He was the kind of man others were glad to trust: hardworking, smart, responsible, and accountable.
By mutual agreement, when much of Tramac's business was purchased by Ingersoll Rand, Nelson helped with the transition, and then returned to Tramac to lead our Boom and Attachment business.
Nelson was a personal friend, and his sudden loss is a tremendous shock to me. He will be greatly missed by all of his colleagues and friends in our business. They will miss his commitment to customer service, they will miss his integrity, and they will miss his total dedication to the company.
Nelson leaves his loving wife of almost 40 year, Ginger; their two daughters, Jennifer and Katie; and granddaughter Noelle.
